Puppy Training in Stoneboro, PA

Puppy Kindergarten & Dog Training Classes in Western PA

Teach your dog positive behaviors with dog training classes in Stoneboro, PA, from ABC Puppy School. We offer private and group classes.

Group Classes

Group classes are for the whole family, including school-age children, and you can bring as many people as you want. Classes are limited to no more than 6–7 dogs and last for one hour each week. Most classes are 5 weeks long, except for advanced levels.

Private Classes

Private dog training classes are also available for those who are unable to make it to group classes or for dogs who are not ready to be in a group environment. To get started, we come to your home for a one and a half hour consultation, during which we discuss your dog's training needs and begin instructions. We provide you with follow-up materials and set up another session if required. During private sessions, we address basic problems and behavioral changes. Our sessions are available on an as-needed basis, so you can schedule as few or as many as you'd like.

Puppy Kindergarten

ABC Puppy School offers Puppy Kindergarten for puppies under 18 weeks old who have had at least two sets of vaccinations. During this course, we solve current problems you're having with the puppy, such as chewing, potty training, crate training and biting. We provide basic command training and social and confidence building to prevent future issues as well.

Puppy Kindergarten allows puppies to interact with others their own age, other people and gives you the opportunity to interact with other puppy owners who are experiencing the same issues. You will have so much fun you'll hardly realize you're training!

Basic Manners

Our Basic Manners class is for dogs five months old and up. A rabies certificate is required to sign up. In this course, we train your dog on a variety of issues, including jumping on people, not coming when called and pulling the leash. This course is pet and people friendly.

Positive Reinforcement

At our school, we use positive reinforcement rather than aversive-style training. This style builds confidence in younger dogs instead of making them fearful or aggressive towards you. We teach owners how to train their dogs to give them the skills, confidence, and support they need to be successful.
